Description
Oklahoma is eligible to receive an allocation of $36,353,000 in disaster recovery funds for necessary expenses for activities authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5301 et. Seq.) to address long-term recovery needs, particularly in the area of housing recovery focusing on low and moderate-income beneficiaries. The only areas in which the funding can be expended lie in Presidentially Declared Disaster areas of the state occurring during the incident period as defined under the applicable Disaster Declaration 4438.
Oklahoma received an allocation of $36,353,000 in disaster recovery funds for necessary expenses for activities authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5301 et. Seq.) to address long-term recovery needs, particularly in the area of housing recovery focusing on low and moderate-income beneficiaries. The only areas in which the funding can be expended lie in Presidentially Declared Disaster areas of the state occurring during the incident period as defined under the applicable Disaster Declaration 4438. Eligible activities include housing rehabilitation for single family and multi-family dwelling units, reimbursement of homeowners who paid for their own home rehabilitation, voluntary buyout/acquisition of single-family homes within the 100-year floodplain (including demolition and clearance), and improvements and rehabilitation for public infrastructure and public facilities, as well as housing-supported infrastructure. Eligible applicants are units of general local government, non-profit entities, state agencies, councils of government and tribal nations.
